The Belt & Road Initiative refers to the “One Belt – One Road Initiative and the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” as a significant development strategy launched by the Chinese government in 2014 with the intention of promoting economic co-operation among countries along the proposed Belt & Road Routes, based on the Ancient Silk Route. These routes have been part of the “Ancient Trade Routes” for centuries, where Chinese traders travelled into Europe and Africa to exchange their goods such as gold and ivory.

Today, Tourism – as a tool for Intercultural Exchange – is considered, beside Trade, as one of the most important sectors in the B & R Initiative.

The Belt & Road Luxury Safari Company shall take you to the destinations back in time, experience the authentic Africa in the same way the traders of the past experienced the continent. The only difference is that you travel the same route in today’s most sophisticated way, in your own luxury aircraft!

Introduction

“My own relationship with the world of Ancient Africa was indeed a kind of Love Affair:

Love at First sight and everlasting”

  – Karen Blixon “Shadows in the Grass”

Doris Woerfel
Like Karen Blixen I fell in love with Africa… It all began on one of my first excursion in a remote part of the Southern African wilderness, while on a nature training course. Cut off of all civilisation, with no electricity and no running water – only nature with its resources and  many wild animals around us. On this trip I became aware of the importance of the collaboration between a minute blade of grass and a giant baobab tree…

Every plant and animal are of immense importance in creating and maintaining nature’s equilibrium.

This makes up the ancient rhythm of nature – a rhythm that the local people in Africa have been living by for generations expressing it vividly through their colourful arts and culture.

In the wilderness our deep instinct and feelings – to be part of this rhythm gets woken again. This rekindled awareness  is what makes it so easy for me to relax and realise how little I need to be satisfied.

I would like you to discover the African heartbeat like I did:

A wildlife and cultural heritage so rich and so varied, people so diverse and colourful and folklore so mystical and infinitively wise that the spirit of Africa will remain in your heart forever!

I am privileged to have linked up with a selection of Africa’s most respected scientists, wildlife researchers, pilots, expert guides and artists  to make your African experience unique and  unforgettable!
